Stage Alpha Operating System

The technology behind the Virtual Prevention & Early Detection Clinic.

How it works

Your cancer risk isn’t one number, and it doesn’t stay the same. Your genes, family history, health history, blood work, and imaging all add to the picture. The Stage Alpha Operating System is how the Virtual Prevention & Early Detection Clinic brings all of that together.

It estimates your personal cancer risk, builds a testing plan around it, and flags anything that needs a closer look. Board-certified medical oncologists oversee every step.

The Stage Alpha Operating System

The system has one goal: to find cancer risk and early warning signs at Stage Alpha, the earliest point where we can act with confidence.

It does that in three ways:

Dynamic Risk Engine

Estimates your personal risk for the most common cancers by combining your whole-genome sequencing with your family and health history. As science learns more, your risk is updated using the same DNA data, with no new blood draw needed.

Protocol Optimization

Turns your risk into a personal testing plan: the right tests, at the right times, based on your biology instead of just your age. Your plan is updated at each cycle as your results and the science change.

Signal Board

If a result needs a closer look, it goes to the Signal Board, a panel of board-certified medical oncologists. They review it together and decide on the next steps for you and your care team.

What sets PreOncology apart

The Stage Alpha Operating System was built to a clinical standard, not a consumer one. Board-certified medical oncologists oversee every part of it.

Independently validated risk models

Our risk models are tested against large, separate sets of data from cancer centers and national biobanks. The science behind your plan has to meet the same high bar as everything else we do.

The Signal Board is made up of board-certified medical oncologists. When a result needs review, the panel looks at it together and gives you and your care team a clear path forward.

Before any screening test is added to the program, we score it from 0 to 15 across four clinical measures. A test doesn’t make it in because it’s new or popular. It makes it in because the evidence supports it.

PreOncology has no financial relationship with any test manufacturer. Your plan is based only on clinical evidence and your personal risk.
